A Baby Story

Well, since you haven't posted any pictures of your bump, I thought I'd do one. You know... it has been 7 months since you last saw me...

19 Weeks

Wow, it seems everything is happening so fast. Some big news. I had my ultrasound appointment Friday July 21st, 2006. They think it's a girl! I am so excited! A girl from work, Carrie, had a daughter 5 years ago, and gave me 8 huge boxes of baby clothes ranging from newborn to 24 months! Well there's ahuge storm brewing, so I'll continue soon.

I am 15 1/2 weeks already! Almost halfway done! Last night was the FIRST NIGHT since I've been pregnant, that I didn't get up at night to pee. It was heavenly! I had my second doctor's appointment yesterday. I went alone. I did get to hear the baby's heartbeat again, which was wonderful. It's like a reasureance that the baby is still okay in there. My ultrasound is in 2 weeks, and I have decided to find out the baby's sex. It seems practical in the sense that I can begin to buy "sex related" items like blue or pink clothing or nursury items. Also, I just cant wait to find out! The "morning, noon and night sickness" has come to a halt and I know only experiance a small bout of "active" nausea first thing in the morning. I have finally gained weight, a whopping 3 1/2 pounds. My faveourite knickname so far is Mama Bear. Others include Skinny, Mama, and Tubs (thank you to a nice co-worker). Other than that all is well.

Just a note that today is one year from the London bombings last summer. Since I take the tube to work now, and have to go through part of central London to get to work, I was debating walking or taking a bus. Fortunately, I made it to work safe and sound, and the security around the stations has been beefed up. Although, some guy was already arrested and fined £80 for swearing about the security, so maybe too much??

In more upbeat news, I'm going to a Tragically Hip concert tonite (yes, they made it as far as London) and will be doing a bbq hosted by a fellow Canadian coworker (crazy newfie actually) . I promise not to pick up anymore homeless guys. They're doing my head in!!
